November 2012 BALI

Pronto’s 5th Nov

Scott and Ang took me to Pronto’s for my birthday lunch once again the place did not disappoint. Great food, wine and company. The vodka shooters did me in and instead of winning my spending money for Bali Ang and Scott cleaned me up at cards, I will have to practice, then to make things worse I lost on the Melbourne Cup and the $100 million lotto draw!! Back to the drawing board for me. 10/10

Bali 9th Nov 2012

First time ever had the Bali belly  I must admit it is a little off putting. Jules also got a parasite and was sicker than I was, she is not use to it either! But with the massages, swimming pool, we managed to survive. Not a champagne or wine passed our lips for the whole trip. I did manage a couple of cocktails towards to end. Best part of it was losing a little weight, plenty to go however!

Shopping was slow, not a thing I got for Sienna will fit her, she is a big strapping girl (not fat) but the $5 rabbit was a real hit.Balinese are a small race, I should have brought up sizes.

We stayed at Benoa Rose Apartments in Nusa Dua  or call Julia on 0417 968 600 it is nice and quite and if like us you need a Doctor or some Cosmetic, Dental  work done you can pop up the road to the new BIMC Hospital it is NEW and fantastic and great service, then back to the Benoa Rose Apartments to heal.

This is the frangapani tree I saved. Wish we could grow them in Perth like this
Orchids I wish we could grow like they do in Bali
View to wake up to from my bedroom window. They do the water sports downstairs.

Banjo

Little Banjo Yates got attacked in the Park opposite his home while I was in Bali, he is one tough little dog and came through OK after giving his Mum and Dad a BIG scare he also had me worried.

We crossed one thing off the bucket list while in Bali on my birthday we went to the expensive cooking class at the world famous Bumbu Bali – http://www.balifoods.com - even though we were not well and the heat was terrible it was fabulous.  Just gotta  try out some of the recipes now.

Brother Stephen and Rhana Bali Nov 2012

Ketut

Jules driver Ketut is worth a million dollars as he knows Bali like the back of his hand. He invited us around to his new house to meet the family and for a coffee it was special. They are a lovely family.
This is what is spoiling Bali this monster is on the beach front and is one development!
Ketut's Temple
Jules and Ketut's little boy.
Big craved door entry to Ketut's house he is soooo proud.

Mother hen sitting on eggs that were due out any day.
Cows and paddocks are becoming a thing of the past now with all the development it is such a shame to see the huge new Hotels everywhere and Developments. This is from Ketut's back door.

Ketut and wife with Jules.

Travis and Sienna took me for Cicerellos Fish & Chips MANDURAH for my birthday lunch on the foreshore. Trav’s Salmon was perfect but my snapper was not cooked properly. Sienna loved her king prawns and fish. We had fun but I will have to score Cicerellos only a 5/10.
I would have thought they would have cooked the fish perfect but not to be I am afraid!

Sienna and Mango

Scott and Ang gave her a camel and she called it Mango and Sienna is talking a lot about Broome, she really misses those two and is talking about all of us going for a holiday to Broome to see Scott's and Ang's new house. (Batten down the hatches) She also loves to pick tomatoes off the bush and Trav said she was soooo excited to come up after my holiday and all the talk was of the tomatoes!

Bathing her dolly

She was up for the weekend and we had a great time, glass painting a fish and swan one for her room and one for her daddy’s. She is such good company. She loves "My fall down show" The Funniest Home Videos
and sat up clapping with gusto at every act in the Grand Final. She also loves Mr Bean.

Garden
Reg came around and kept an eye on the garden bless him.
These are self sown and so perfect.
Icebergs are such good value
My Bonica they are the same as Icebergs no trouble and have great flowers

I had sooooo many roses out and orchids (the orchids came up by themselves I did not plant any so that was an extra bonus) while I was away but some lasted until I got back. I have heaps of figs which I was not expecting in the first year on my new tree so I am happy with that. I LOVE figs

I will be able to keep the neighbour hood in tomatoes they are coming up all over the place.

The 3 Jacks were back for a week. They are really good little dogs and a joy to have around. They are spending a few days with Gayle, Reg and Banjo that will be interesting to see how Banjo takes to them.
PS All went well Archie stole the show he really has come out of his shell and a lovely little dog see photo taken by Reg on the left of him looking really smart and confident.

Bailey:

Bailey came for a week she is 8 months old Dalmatian cross weighing in at 35kg my she is going to be a big girl.  There was a big storm and I could not walk her one day so kept her busy with some biscuits in a bottle. She is a lovely dog however is going to be one big sucker.

She made herself pretty much at home and loved to sleep in which I liked.

Bailey and I watching telly not a lot of room left with two big ladies on one lounge!
She loved to cuddle - god look at the size for 8 months imagine when she is
fully grown.
